Start your day with a visit to the Dilwara Temples, known for their exquisite use of marble and intricate carvings. Each temple has its own unique architecture and history. The complex is open from 12 PM to 6 PM on weekdays and weekends. Audio guides are available for rent for a nominal fee. Photography is not allowed inside the temples.
After visiting the temples, head to the Nakki Lake for a serene boating experience. The lake is surrounded by lush greenery and is the perfect spot for a picnic. Boats are available for rent from 9 AM to 6 PM. Horse riding and camel riding are also popular activities around the lake.
End your day with a breathtaking sunset view at the Sunset Point. The viewpoint overlooks the entire town of Mount Abu and is known for its stunning panoramic views. It is open daily from 5 PM to 7 PM.
Start day two by driving to the highest point in Mount Abu - Guru Shikhar. The summit offers sweeping views of the Aravalli Range and the surrounding plains, and the drive up offers breathtaking scenic views. The temple at the peak is also a must-visit for its intricate marble carvings.
Afterwards, head to the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary. Home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, this sanctuary is a perfect spot for a nature walk. The sanctuary is open from 9:30 AM to 5 PM. Be sure to keep an eye out for the rare Indian leopard and the Indian giant squirrel.
If you have more time, consider also visiting the Achalgarh Fort, Toad Rock, and the Brahma Kumari World Spiritual University. If you have less time, consider skipping the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary or the Guru Shikhar and instead go for a morning walk around Nakki Lake.
