Start the first day with a trek to Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. This is a challenging trek but the stunning views from the top are worth the effort. It takes around 3-4 hours to complete the trek. Carry enough water and snacks.
Embark on a jeep safari in Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary and spot various wild animals like elephants, deer, and tigers, if lucky. After the safari, enjoy a refreshing dip in the stunning Soochipara Falls, which is around 40 minutes drive away.
Visit the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earth dam in India and enjoy boating. After that, head to the Karapuzha Dam, another scenic dam which is perfect for a picnic and some relaxation.
If you have more time, you can explore other attractions like Edakkal Caves, Kuruva Island, and Pookode Lake. If time is limited, you can skip Banasura Sagar Dam and Karapuzha Dam and opt for a visit to the Jain Temple and Lakkidi View Point instead. Don't forget to carry comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
