Start your adventure at Mullayanagiri Peak which is the highest peak in Karnataka. Enjoy trekking along the rugged terrain and steep slopes while taking in the stunning views of the surrounding hills. It is a challenging trek and takes around 3-4 hours to reach the summit. At the peak, you can witness the breathtaking sunrise or sunset, a truly unforgettable experience. Trekking in the dark is prohibited so make sure to check opening and closing times before planning your visit.
Visit the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary which is home to a variety of flora and fauna including tigers, leopards, and elephants. Take a jeep safari or go for a nature walk to explore the sanctuary. The sanctuary also offers many adventure activities including boating and trekking. It is advisable to book your safari in advance and check operating hours since it is closed on certain days of the week.
End your adventure at Hebbe Falls which is a mesmerizing waterfall hidden amidst the Western Ghats. The waterfall is situated in a dense forest and can only be reached by trekking. The trek takes around 30-45 minutes to reach the waterfall. You can also take a dip in the natural pool formed by the waterfall. Hebbe Falls is closed during the monsoon season so make sure to plan accordingly.
If you have an extra day, you can also visit Kudremukh National Park which is known for its trekking trails and scenic beauty. For food, try the local Chikmagalur coffee which is a must-try for all coffee lovers. If you have less time, you can skip Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary and Hebbe Falls and explore the coffee plantations in Chikmagalur instead.
