Start your day by visiting the Mullayanagiri Peak, which is the highest peak in the Karnataka region. It's a fantastic place to visit with your family, and the panoramic view of the hills from the top is breathtaking. If you're feeling adventurous, take a trek to reach the summit. After the high-altitude trek, take a break and visit Baba Budangiri Hills which is just a 15-min drive from the peak. You can enjoy a nice cup of coffee at the local stalls while the scenic beauty transfers you to another dimension.
On your second day, head over to the Kudremukh National Park, which is one of the most popular national parks in India. Take an early morning jeep safari to explore the vast range of flora and fauna, such as elephants, tigers, leopards, and antelopes. You can also go trekking or hiking through the gorgeous valleys along the banks of the Bhadra River. End the day by heading over to the Hebbe Falls which is only a 40-minute drive from the park. This 550 ft tall waterfall is a breathtaking view and the perfect place to end your family trip.
If you have more time, consider visiting the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary on Day 1 or the Bhadra Dam on Day 2. Alternatively, you can consider extending your trip for a day or two and explore the beautiful coffee plantations in the region. If you have less time, you may want to skip the Mullayanagiri Peak trek or visit only one attraction at Kudremukh National Park. Also, plan your trip to avoid the monsoon season (June - August) as some attractions may be closed due to heavy rainfall.
