Explore the Bandipur National Park - a wildlife sanctuary with tigers, elephants, leopards, and many more animals. Take a guided Jeep safari through the park to see these animals in their natural habitat. The park is open from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM & 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. After the safari, return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Head to the Mudumalai National Park, which is situated on the Karnataka-Tamil Nadu border. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Nilgiri Mountains, spot some wildlife and go on a jungle trek in the lush green forest. The park is open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM & 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Stop at the local restaurants for lunch and return to your hotel in the evening.
Drive to the Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta - the highest peak in the Bandipur range. The road to the peak offers stunning views of the hills and forests, and the temple at the summit is worth the climb. The temple opens at 8:00 AM and closes at 5:00 PM. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant on your way back to the hotel.
On the final day, head to the Ooty Tea Factory - a historical tea factory, where you can learn about the tea making process from leaf to cup. Sample some freshly brewed tea, purchase tea to take back home, and explore the beautiful tea gardens nearby. The factory is open from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Have lunch at a nearby restaurant and return to your hotel.
If you have more time, you can also visit the nearby Nagarhole National Park or Kabini River. If you have less time, you can skip the Ooty Tea Factory and spend an additional day in Bandipur National Park.
