Fort Aguada is a well-preserved 17th-century Portuguese fort that stands on Sinquerim Beach. It is a great place to start your trip as the fort offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea. You can also explore the lighthouse and take a leisurely stroll on the ramparts. The fort has a small museum displaying ancient artifacts.
The Basilica of Bom Jesus is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the oldest and most famous churches in Goa, and it houses the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. The church is an exquisite example of Baroque architecture with intricately carved wooden panels and gilded altars. The church is open every day from 9 am to 6:30 pm.
Dudhsagar Falls is a spectacular four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River. The falls are surrounded by lush greenery and offer breathtaking views. You can go trekking, swim in the natural pools, or just relax by the falls. The best time to visit is during the monsoon season (June to September), when the falls are at their fullest.
If you have more time, visit the beaches of North Goa like Baga, Calangute and Anjuna. If you have less time, skip Dudhsagar Falls and visit the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Panaji. Don't forget to try the local Goan cuisine like fish curry rice, vindaloo, and sorpotel.
