Triveni Ghat: Starting your journey at Rishikesh, visit Triveni Ghat situated on the banks of Ganges. The confluence of holy rivers Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati form the Triveni Sangam. Engage in the serene Ganga Aarti at dusk which is the main attraction at Triveni Ghat. Witness the enchanting spiritual atmosphere of Hinduism's holiest city, where you can achieve self-realization and experience peace and divinity as you delve deep into its roots and religious beliefs.
Gurso Bugyal: Auli is a skiing resort located at an elevation of 2,800 meters. Gurso Bugyal is an awe-inspiring sight during August with its sprawling grasslands dotted with Oak trees and panoramic views of Nanda Devi Peak. Bask in the serene atmosphere and take in the essence of nature with the pleasant meadows, overlooking the vast valleys, and get a breathtaking view of the glorious Himalayas. Add adrenaline rush to your experience if our lucky as you may end up with a paragliding experience in the clouds.
Kalpavriksha: Joshimath is a scenic hill station in Chamoli District. Immerse yourself in a rather unusual pilgrimage to Kalpavriksha, an ancient temple, considered one of the oldest living plants in India. It is also known as the tree of wishes, and legend has it that all wishes in front of this tree will be granted. The temple is surrounded by numerous charming markets and chai shops displaying the typical Garhwal culture and cuisine. Visit the Narasimha temple and the Nanda Devi National park to explore the rarest of flora and fauna.
If you have extra time, you can add visits to Auli Artificial Lake, Chenab Lake or Bhavishya Badri, or set the temple tour of Kedarnath and Badrinath. If you have less time, you can remove the temple tour of Joshimath, which is a 1-hour drive from Auli, to accommodate any unexpected delays during your journey or extend your stay in Rishikesh for some exciting river rafting and camping.
