Meet and greet some of the most playful and cheekiest macaques at the Ubud Monkey Forest. Stroll through the cool, lush forest and see nearly 700 monkeys living in harmony (and sometimes chaos) with nature. Be careful as they can be quite mischievous! You can also visit the Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal temple inside the forest that was built in the 14th century to worship spirits. It’s an incredible site filled with beautiful ancient sculptures!
Discover the beauty and cultural significance of the Tirta Empul Temple that dates back to the 10th century. This temple is dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu god of water, and consists of a collection of pools, baths, and fountains that people still believe to have healing powers. You can also observe some fascinating purification rituals which take place in the pools, and the locals believe that taking a dip in the holy water can purify the soul.
Visit one of the most iconic temples in Bali, Tanah Lot that stands on a rocky outcrop amidst the sea waves. It’s a perfect location for an amazing sunset with a relaxed and laid-back vibe. Surrounded by endless ocean, and with panoramic views across the beautiful coastline, it's not difficult to understand why Tanah Lot is considered one of Bali's most popular gardens. Take some breathtaking photos and make memories that will last a lifetime.
If you have more time, you can explore some other attractions in Ubud, such as the rice paddies or Goa Gajah-Temple. Additionally, you could go to Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary or Tegenungan Waterfall on day one. On day two, you could add a visit to the Ubud Art Market or Saraswati Temple, while on day three, you might add a visit to Uluwatu Temple or Jimbaran Bay Beach.
