The Basilica of Bom Jesus is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Old Goa. The church is more than 400 years old and is known for the crypt where St. Francis Xavier's body is kept. The shrine attracts thousands of tourists every year, so it is best to visit in the morning to avoid crowds.
If you have more time, visit the wildlife sanctuaries in Goa or the Arvalem Caves. For a shorter itinerary, skip Fort Aguada or the Basilica of Bom Jesus. The best months to visit Goa are November to March for the best weather, however, May is a great time to visit for the fewer crowds and cheaper rates compared to peak season.
