Ooty, also known as Udhagamandalam, is a hill station situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters in Tamil Nadu. Check out the famous attraction, Ooty Lake, as well as the Botanical Gardens, which is a must-visit tourist spot.
Coonoor, a small hill station near Ooty, is famous for its tea gardens. Check out Sim’s Park, a botanical garden with fruit trees, rare plants, and exotic flowers. Dolphin’s Nose and the Law’s Cemetery are two of Coonoor’s most visited attractions.
If you have more time, visit the Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park, which is located approximately 2 hours (45 miles) from Ooty. The Adiyogi Shiva statue located in Coimbatore is another attraction that you could add to your itinerary. For those with less time, you can skip Coonoor and proceed straight to Ooty.
