Jog Falls, also known as Gerosoppa Falls or Joga Falls, is a major tourist attraction in Shimoga. The waterfall has a height of 253 meters and is the second-highest plunge waterfall in India. During the monsoon season in June, the falls are at their full glory. You can enjoy the breathtaking views from the viewpoints and click some memorable pictures. You can also take a dip in the inviting pool at the bottom of the falls.
Tyavarekoppa Lion and Tiger Safari is a must-visit for animal lovers. You can enjoy a thrilling ride in a caged vehicle and see the majestic big cats in their natural surroundings. Apart from lions and tigers, you can also spot leopards, bears, and hyenas. There is also a mini zoo with a variety of animals like deer, rabbits, and monkeys. You can also visit the nearby Tyavarekoppa Children's Park for some family fun.
