Start your day by exploring the TATA tea museum. See how tea is made and processed from the tea leaf to the end product. Be sure not to miss the tea tasting. Next, visit the Mattupetty Dam which is located at an altitude of 1700 meters. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the place and take a boat ride in the reservoir. After that, head over to the Kundala Dam which is known for its picturesque surroundings and the famous Neela Kurinji flowers which bloom once every twelve years. End your day with a visit to the Top Station which is the highest tea plantation in India and offers an incredible view of the Western Ghats.

If you have more time, you can add a visit to the Tea Garden known for their beautiful landscaping and the Marayoor sandalwood forest. If you have less time, skip the Attukad Waterfalls and the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary. You can also combine the tea plantations and dams with wildlife and waterfalls to make a longer day trip.
