  1. Day 1: Edakkal Caves

    Edakkal Caves is a unique site in Wayanad that consists of natural caves formed by massive boulders, with prehistoric carvings and writings on their walls. Accessible only by foot, it requires a short but steep hike up a hill to reach. The carvings are believed to be 6000 years old and depict human and animal figures, besides a primitive form of writing. The view from the hilltop and the natural surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. Do carry a bottle of water and some snacks.

  2. Day 2: Chembra Peak
    49 minutes (21.4 km) from Edakkal Caves

    Chembra Peak is the highest peak in Wayanad and is famous for its scenic beauty and heart-shaped lake. The trek to the top is a bit strenuous but is worth the effort. The lush greenery, cool breeze, and the panoramic view from the top make it a perfect spot for an unforgettable picnic. You will need to get a permit from the Forest Office before starting the trek, and it is advisable to hire a local guide. Do wear comfortable shoes and carry a jacket.
