    Promenade Beach also known as Pondicherry Beach, is a popular spot for a morning walk or jog. The beach gets busy during the evenings and weekends where you can find a variety of food vendors selling treats to locals and tourists alike.

  3. Day 3: Matrimandir
    25 minutes (5.1 miles) from Promenade Beach

    Matrimandir is an iconic golden globe of spiritual significance in the center of Auroville. You can take a shuttle bus from the Visitors Center on the outskirts of the city. Make sure to book at least 2-3 days in advance at the Visitors center Auroville for the tour and avoid disappointment.

  4. Day 4: Chunnambar Boathouse
    25 minutes (4.2 miles) from Matrimandir

    Chunnambar Boathouse offers motorboat, speed boat and sailing trips. There are pedal boats, row-boats and canoes available for those looking for something more relaxing. The trip to Paradise Beach alone is worth it.

  5. Day 5: Serenity Beach
    20 minutes (3.2 miles) from Chunnambar Boathouse

    Serenity Beach is a beach that is ideal for sunbathing, surfing and swimming. The attraction here is definitely the surfing. Renting a board is easy, and the waves are often ideal for beginners. There are also great beachside cafes to grab a drink or bite to eat.
