It is recommended to use trains as they easily connect the five towns. If you are driving, take into account that cars are not permitted in the town centers unless allowed by the hotel. The train schedules, itineraries, or tickets can be checked online, and the cost ranges from €2.50 to €4 for a single trip on a Cinque Terre card. The approximate travel time between each town is 10-15 minutes.
If you have more time, consider spending an additional day in Manarola for the picturesque harbor, or visit Corniglia, the quietest of the five towns. If you have less time, consider taking a boat tour to appreciate the scenic views of the coast from the water. Also, remember to carry comfortable shoes as most towns involve a lot of walking.
