Wake up early and leave for Dubare Elephant Camp, a reserve that offers a chance to learn about elephants in a natural setting. Get up and close with these gentle giants, watch them splash in the river, and take an elephant ride. Afterwards, visit the beautiful Namdroling Monastery, home to 5,000 monks and the world's largest teaching center of the Nyingmapa, a lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Finish off the day by hiking up to the picturesque Abbey Falls located amidst coffee plantations.
Arrive at Coorg, also known as Kodagu, a hill station with lush greenery, spice estates, and coffee plantations. Tour the plantations and sample some of the finest coffee produced in India. Later, take a dip at the mystical Omkareshwara Temple Kund, a small pond in front of the temple that is believed to have miraculous healing powers. Return back to the hotel and unwind at a rooftop party with your friends, overlooking the beautiful mountains and valleys of Coorg.
If you have more time, you can add a visit to Raja's Seat, a scenic garden with panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Or if you're adventure seeking group, trek to the peak of Tadiandamol, the highest mountain in Coorg. For a calmer atmosphere, consider visiting the Namdroling Monastery during the morning prayer chanting or exploring the ancient Madikeri Fort. If you have less time, then select one activity from each day itinerary and fit into 2 days.
