3-Day Cultural Immersion Itinerary in Shirdi in May 2023

  1. Day 1: Shri Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir
    10 minutes (0.5 miles) from Shirdi Bus Depot

    Visit the resting place of Shirdi's most famous saint, Sai Baba. This temple complex receives thousands of visitors every day who come to pay homage to the saint’s legacy. The first temple was built in 1922 while the current structure was completed in 2008. The Samadhi Mandir is open 24/7, but on weekends and during peak hours, the queue can get very long.

  2. Day 2: Dwarkamai Mosque
    8 minutes (0.4 miles) from Shri Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir

    The mosque was home to Sai Baba for over 60 years and has been transformed into a museum to honor him. The mosque has now become a sacred place for his devotees, and they come to seek Sai Baba's blessings and to be relieved of their afflictions. The Dwarkamai mosque remains open every day, and there is no entry fee. You can donate money if you wish.

  3. Day 3: Chavadi and Lendi Baug
    10 minutes (0.5 miles) from Dwarkamai Mosque

    Chavadi and Lendi Baug are of the most visited places in Shirdi. Baba used to spend is alternate nights at Chavadi and Lendi Baug. Chavadi was once used as a kind of village office, and now it displays many pictures of Sai Baba. Lendi Baug is a beautiful garden on the bank of the River; anyone can enter for free. It was Sai Baba’s favorite spot and a great place to spend some peaceful time.

Useful Tips

To get a good experience, wear comfortable clothes as you will have to take off your shoes at each temple and purchase/souvenirs in shops surrounding each temple can be pricey.
