Soochipara Falls is a great place for adventure enthusiasts. It's a three-tiered waterfall ideal as a trekking destination. The trek to the falls gives breathtaking views of the hills, and the flora and fauna that are unique to this region of Western Ghats. The rains in June will add to the beauty of the falls and make the water gushing down the rocks more charming.
Chembra Peak, which has an elevation of 2,100 meters above sea level, is the perfect destination to satisfy your adventure urges. During the trek to the peak, the entire mountain range provides a visual treat, and the birds around will provide a beautiful natural soundtrack. Trekkers are required to obtain permission from the forest department before starting the trek. It takes around seven hours to complete the trail, which is quite challenging but definitely worth the climb.
If you have additional time, visit Wayanad wildlife sanctuary and explore various animals and birds in their natural habitat. You can also trek to Mullayanagiri in Kallapara, which is the highest peak in key zones of Western Ghats. For those with less time, you may opt to skip visiting Soochipara Waterfalls and go straight to Chembra Peak. On rainy days, it is recommended to follow safety protocols and avoid trekking.
