Next, head to Lamb’s Rock, a viewpoint that showcases the stunning landscape of Coonoor. If time permits, visit the Dolphin’s Nose, a scenic viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the Nilgiris.
The second day of the trip is all about relaxation. Start your day at the Ooty Lake, a serene location where you can enjoy boating and picnicking with your family and friends. After that, head to the Botanical Garden, which boasts a collection of over 650 species of plants and trees. The garden is well-maintained, and you can stroll through the lush greenery while soaking in the natural beauty. Before heading back to your hotel for the night, visit the Government Rose Garden, which is home to over 20,000 varieties of roses.
On the final day, embark on a journey to Nagarhole National Park, which is famous for its wildlife sanctuary. Take a jeep safari and spot some tigers, leopards, elephants, and other animals roaming around in their natural habitat. The park also houses a wide variety of birds, so make sure to bring your binoculars. After the safari, relax in the natural surroundings before heading back to your hotel.
If you have more time, you can add trekking to your itinerary. There are several scenic trails in Ooty and Coorg that offer breath-taking views of the Western Ghats. You can also visit the Tea Museum in Ooty, which will give you an insight into the history of tea production in the region. If you have less time, you can skip the Dolphin's Nose and the Government Rose Garden.
