Exploring Spiti Valley in 3 Days

  1. Day 1: Kaza
    4 hours 40 mins (212 km) from Manali

    Kaza is the capital of the Spiti Valley and the base for exploring the region. Spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitude and take a walk around the town. Visit the Ki Monastery, one of the most important monasteries in the Spiti Valley. It is located on top of a hill and offers stunning views of the valley. Kaza Market is another must-visit place for buying local handicrafts and souvenirs.

  2. Day 2: Hikkim - Komic - Langza
    2 hours 10 mins (35 km) from Kaza

    After breakfast, head to Hikkim Village. It is home to the world's highest post office and you can send postcards to your family and friends. Next stop is Komic Village, which is the highest village in Asia. Visit the Tangyud Monastery, located on the edge of the village, for panoramic views of the valley. End the day with a visit to Langza Village, famous for its fossils and impressive buddha statue. The village has a stunning backdrop of Chau Chau Kang Nilda peak.

  3. Day 3: Chandratal Lake
    6 hours (100 km) from Kaza

    Chandratal Lake is the highlight of the Spiti Valley. Start early in the morning and drive to Batal, where you can have breakfast. From Batal, take a taxi to the lake, as the road is not accessible by a regular vehicle. Spend the day enjoying the scenic beauty of the lake and take a walk around. Don't forget to carry a packed lunch and enough water. Return to Kaza in the evening.
