Sao Beach is the perfect place to unwind on your first day in Phu Quoc. With crystal clear turquoise waters and powdery white sand, Sao Beach has some of the best views in Vietnam. You can rent a variety of water sports equipment and spend your day kayaking, paddle-boarding, or swimming. There are also numerous vendors on the beach selling cold drinks, snacks, and fresh seafood.
Start your evening off at Phu Quoc Night Market which is filled with various street food vendors, souvenir shops, and local handicrafts. There you can indulge in delicious Vietnamese cuisine such as banh mi, pho, spring rolls, or try exotic seafood options such as grilled sea snails. After dinner, take a short walk to the Salsa Bar and enjoy some live music, tropical drinks and dance the night away with your friends.
If you have more time, you can also include the following on your itinerary: swimming at Long Beach, exploring the Phu Quoc National Park, or taking a boat tour around An Thoi Islands. If you're staying longer you might want to include a beach party at the Billy Bob's Bar . However, If you have less time, you can skip the Salsa Bar and leave Phu Quoc Night Market earlier.
