    Kapaleeshwarar Temple is a beautiful and ancient Hindu temple built in the 16th century. The architecture and sculpture of this temple are truly stunning and make for amazing photos. If you are looking for a cultural experience this is the right place. On weekends street shops, flower stalls and street food vendors are also lining up the street to tempt visitors with their products.

  4. Day 2: Mahabalipuram
    1 hour 14 minutes (58 km) from Chennai Central Railway Station

    Mahabalipuram is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the location of some of the city's most stunning temples and rock carvings. It was established in the 7th century and has a sprawling complex of cave temples, rathas, and a stunning Shore temple which makes everyone awe-inspired. With clear blue skies and an unobstructed view, the best time to visit this place is early morning.

  5. Day 2: DakshinaChitra - Muttukadu
    40 minutes (23 km) from Mahabalipuram

    The word "Dakshina" means "south" and "Chitra" means "picture" - giving you an idea of what to expect. DakshinaChitra is an open-air museum that takes visitors through the varied cultures and way of living in South India. You can witness and try various art and crafts here. Post this head to Muttukadu boathouse for some rejuvenating boat experience.
