If you have more time, you can add a visit to the Suchindram Temple, Vattakottai Fort and the Mathur Hanging Bridge. If you have less time, you can skip Padmanabhapuram Palace and head straight to Poovar Island. Make sure to carry sunscreen, hats and sunglasses as the sun can get pretty harsh on the beaches.
