Relax and rejuvenate at the Gokarna Beach, one of the most serene and peaceful beaches around. This hidden gem is surrounded by lush green forests and the Arabian Sea. Enjoy the natural beauty around, read your favourite book, take long walks and rekindle with nature.
Visit the massive Murdeshwara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and admire the towering 123 feet statue of Lord Shiva overlooking the Arabian Sea. After exploring the temple, head to the Murdeshwara Beach for a calming and luxurious experience at the beach resorts.
Relax on the Om Beach, which is crescent-shaped, and resembles the symbol Om, owing to which it is aptly named. Explore the rock-cut caves and take a dip in the blue waters. The second beach on the list is Kudle Beach, one of the cleanest and well-maintained beaches in the region. Relax in the tranquillity and feast on sumptuous seafood delicacies.
For those with more time, take a scenic drive along the coast on the National Highway (NH 66) from Kumta to Murdeshwara. If you have less time, remove Kudle Beach from the itinerary. Do carry comfortable walking shoes, hats, sunglasses and apply sunscreen regularly.
If you are a food lover, do not miss out on trying the local cuisine, which includes seafood delicacies and authentic South Indian dishes.
