The fort has been recently restored and turned into a museum, showcasing the history and culture of the Hunza Valley's Altit village. The view from the fort's rooftop is also breathtaking, overlooking the Hunza River and the surrounding mountains.
If you have more time, you can also visit the Rakaposhi View Point, which offers stunning views of the Rakaposhi mountain, or the Eagles Nest, which is a famous viewpoint in the Hunza Valley. If you have less time, you can either skip Attabad Lake, or you can combine Baltit Fort and Altit Fort into one visit as they are only a 10-minute drive apart.
