3-Day Volunteering Itinerary in Goa for March 2024

  1. Day 1: Visit an Animal Sanctuary
    20 minutes (7.5 miles) from Goa International Airport

    Start your day by volunteering at an animal sanctuary where you can work with various rescued animals, including dogs, cats and farm animals. You will help feed, bathe and groom the animals alongside cleaning the common areas. After your volunteering experience, head to the nearby spice plantation to learn about the processing of various spices, including black pepper and cardamom. End your day with a mesmerizing sunset view at the Fort Aguada Lighthouse.

  2. Day 2: Teach at a Local School
    35 minutes (9.6 miles) from Fort Aguada Lighthouse

    For your second day, volunteer by teaching English, maths or science at a local school. You will be helping to bring education to children from low-income communities. After volunteering, take a break and visit the lush and serene Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary where you can witness several migratory birds across the wetlands and mangroves.   3. Day 3: Cleaning the Beaches
    45 minutes (11.2 miles) from Old Goa

    On your final day, start by joining a group cleaning the beaches. Help to collect as much trash as possible to keep our beaches clean and hygienic. Afterward, take a swim at the Baga beach, where the waters are clear and the sand is soft. End your day with a sunset dinner cruise across the Mandovi river, where you can witness a spectacular view of Goa, and enjoy delectable Goan cuisine, including seafood.
