Located in the middle of a coffee estate, Abbey Falls is a beautiful waterfall known for its gushing sound. You can hear the sound from the lookout point before you even see it. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery, and it’s a great spot for a picnic.
Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in Karnataka, standing at 6,330 feet. The road up the mountain is winding and offers beautiful views of the Western Ghats. Once at the top, you can hike to the summit for more stunning views. It’s a bit of a difficult hike, but it’s definitely worth it.
Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected reserve surrounded by beautiful hills and forests. Here, you can spot animals such as tigers, leopards, and elephants. You can take a jeep safari to explore the sanctuary or go on a trek to explore the forest on foot.
If you have more time, consider visiting other natural attractions in the area, such as the Chikmagalur coffee estates. If you have less time, consider skipping Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary and spending more time at Abbey Falls and Mullayanagiri. Keep in mind that June is monsoon season in Coorg and Chikmagalur, so be prepared for rain and slippery roads.
