Daman is a small town situated in Gujarat's southern coastal region. It was once a Portuguese colony and has remnants of the past with a mix of the modern-day. If you have more time, visit Calico Museum of Textiles, which showcases textile arts and handicrafts from different cultures across India. Bhadra Fort, a hill fortification used by the Maratha Empires, is another iconic structure to visit in Ahmedabad. If you have less time, you may leave out the Kankaria Lake.
