3-Day Itinerary for DaNang in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Marble Mountains
    20 minutes (6 miles) from DaNang city center

    Experience the beauty of Marble Mountains, one of the must-see destinations in DaNang. The cultural and spiritual significance of the area dates back to the ancient Champa Kingdom. You can hike to the top of the mountain, and marvel at the breathtaking views of the city, the beach, and the surrounding countryside. There are also caves to explore and pagodas to visit. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as it can get hot in the summer.

  2. Day 2: Son Tra Mountain
    30 minutes (10 miles) from Marble Mountains

    Make your way to Son Tra Mountain, where you can catch glimpses of the rare red-shanked douc langurs. These beautiful primates are easily recognisable by their striking colouration and gentle mannerisms. Visit Ban Co Peak, where you can take in the panoramic views of the coastline. Visit the ancient Linh Ung Pagoda, a sanctuary of peace and serenity. Don’t forget your binoculars, as this is a great place for birdwatching!

  3. Day 3: My Son Sanctuary
    60 minutes (25 miles) from Son Tra Mountain

    On your final day, take a trip to My Son Sanctuary. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia, and an impressive example of ancient Champa architecture. My Son Sanctuary was once the religious center of the Kingdom of Champa. It’s a place of quiet contemplation, where you can walk among the ruins of ancient brick temples and watch as tree roots snake their way through the stone carvings. Be prepared for the heat and humidity with plenty of water and insect repellent.
