Visit the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earth dam in India. Enjoy boating on the serene reservoir and take a walk on the nearby trails. The dam is surrounded by the Banasura hills and is a perfect spot for photography enthusiasts.
Experience the Thusharagiri Waterfalls, a 3-tier waterfall cascading down the Western Ghats. Trek through the forest and cross streams to reach the waterfall. Take a dip in the natural pools and enjoy a picnic lunch. The trek to the waterfall takes around 2 hours.
If you have more time, consider adding a visit to the Edakkal Caves, a prehistoric site with ancient petroglyphs. For adventure seekers, try zip-lining at the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary. If you have less time, skip the Banasura Sagar Dam and spend more time at the Thusharagiri Waterfalls.
