Enjoy a scenic and relatively easy trek to the top of the Chembra Peak, which is the highest peak in Wayanad. Take in panoramic views of the town from the misty summit. Don't forget to visit the Heart Lake on your way back, which is a heart-shaped lake located at an altitude of about 6,500 feet.
Visit the Soochipara Falls, which is a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Take a refreshing dip in the natural pool at the bottom of the falls. Afterward, head to the Edakkal Caves, which are ancient caves that are famous for their prehistoric petroglyphs. Spend some time exploring the caves and learning about their history.
Start your day with a relaxing boat ride on the Pookode Lake, which is a freshwater lake surrounded by dense forests. Afterward, head to the Banasura Sagar Dam, which is the largest earthen dam in India. Take a stroll on the dam and enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding mountains.
If you have more time, you can add a visit to the Thusharagiri Waterfalls, which is located about an hour from Soochipara Falls. Alternatively, if you have less time, you can skip the visit to the Pookode Lake and spend more time exploring the Edakkal Caves.
