Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in Karnataka, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and hills. The trek to the peak is challenging and takes around 3-4 hours to complete. The best time to trek is early morning to watch the sunrise. Carry enough water and food items as there are no shops on the way.
Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is a bio-diverse region located amidst the Western Ghats. The sanctuary is home to tigers, leopards, elephants, gaurs, and several species of birds and reptiles. You can take a jeep safari or trek to explore the sanctuary. The safari rides are priced at INR 300 per person and last for 2-3 hours.
Chikmagalur is famous for its coffee plantations, and taking a guided tour of one is a must-do activity. You get to learn about the process of coffee making and taste freshly brewed coffee. One of the popular coffee plantations is the Coffee Barn Cafe, which costs INR 250 per person for a guided tour and tasting session.
If you have more time, you can add a visit to Hebbe Falls, Kudremukh National Park, or Belavadi Temple. If you have less time, you can skip the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary jeep safari, which takes up most of the day. Make sure to carry comfortable shoes, water bottles, and sunscreen.
