Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is a must-visit for nature lovers. The sanctuary is located amidst the Western Ghats and is home to a variety of flora and fauna. You can explore the sanctuary by taking a jeep safari or a nature walk. Spot tigers, black panthers, elephants, and other exotic animals. Don't miss the opportunity to witness a bird-watching session in the early morning hours. The sanctuary remains open from 6 AM to 6 PM.
The Kali River flows through Dandeli and is an excellent place for river rafting and kayaking. The river is surrounded by verdant green forests and rocky terrain that offers an exciting adventure to visitors. If you're not into water sports, you can take a peaceful coracle ride and enjoy the scenic beauty. The Kali River is open from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Syntheri Rocks is a stunning natural rock formation located deep inside the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. A 30-minutes trek will take you to the site where you can witness the spectacular view of the rocks that look like they're straight out of a fairy tale. The rocks are surrounded by green forests and a gushing stream that adds to the beauty of the place. The best time to visit Syntheri Rocks is during the monsoon season when the waterfalls are in full flow. The site is open from 8 AM to 5 PM.
If you have more time, you can add the following places to your itinerary: Ulavi Temple, Supa Dam, and Molangi Falls. If you have less time, you can skip the Kali River and spend more time exploring the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary or Syntheri Rocks.
