Useful Tips

If you have a day or two extra, head to Chichen Itza, one of the new seven wonders of the world, or plan a visit to the Cenotes just outside of Tulum. If you have a busy schedule or want to cut short, remove either the Cozumel or Isla Mujeres visits from the itinerary.

Airports

The major airport for the destination is Cancun International Airport (CUN), located 34.5 km southwest of Playa del Carmen. The airport is vibrant and somewhat crowded, so be sure to queue extra time for check-in and security checks. Taxi or private van service may be taken from CUN Airport to Playa Del Carmen for approximately $50-80.
