Gujarat December 2023 Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Ahmedabad
    20 minutes (6.3 miles) from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad

    Visit the Sabarmati Ashram, which was the residence of Mahatma Gandhi. The ashram has a museum with photographs and letters of Gandhi. Next, visit the Ahmedabad Textile Museum, which has a collection of traditional textiles from Gujarat and other parts of India. After this, head to the Adalaj Stepwell, which is located in a small village near Ahmedabad. The stepwell is a five-story structure built in the Indo-Islamic architectural style.

  2. Day 2: Bhuj
    50 minutes (40.8 miles) from Bhuj Airport

    Start your day by visiting the Swaminarayan Temple, which is a beautiful temple complex located in Bhuj. Next, visit the Bhuj Museum, which has a collection of Kutchi embroidery, textiles, and artifacts. After this, head to the Prag Mahal, which is an 19th century palace built in the Italian Gothic style. Finally, head to the Bhujodi Village, which is known for its weaving traditions.

  3. Day 3: Somnath and Gir National Park
    4 hours 30 minutes (200 miles) from Bhuj

    Start your day by visiting the Somnath Temple, which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. Next, head to the Gir National Park, which is home to Asiatic lions. You can take a jeep safari to explore the park. After this, head to the Junagadh Buddhist Cave Groups, which are rock-cut caves with Buddhist sculptures and carvings.
