Getting around Paris is easy using its comprehensive public transportation system. The Metro offers trains and buses throughout the city and is the cheapest way to get around. A single ticket costs €1.90, while buying a "Carnet" of 10 tickets is €16.50. Taxis are also available, but they can be quite expensive, costing around €10-15 for a short trip.
If you have more time, consider taking a day trip outside the city to Versailles or the Palace of Fontainebleau. Additionally, if you have less time, we recommend skipping Champs-Élysées and spending more time at the Eiffel Tower or Roland Garros.
Paris has two main airports: Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (ORY). Charles de Gaulle is the larger of the two and serves as the primary hub for international airlines. It is located 25 km northeast of Paris and can be accessed via the RER train. Orly is located closer to the city center (13 km) and mainly serves domestic flights, as well as some international flights to Europe and North Africa. It can be accessed via bus, train, or taxi.
