Mumbai to Kedarnath: A Spiritual Journey

6:00 AM: Depart from Mumbai

Start your day early by departing from Mumbai towards Kedarnath. You can either take a flight from Mumbai to Dehradun or a train to Haridwar. Check prices for flights and hotels here.

10:00 AM: Arrive in Haridwar

Upon arrival in Haridwar, take a taxi or hire a private car to reach Guptkashi, which is approximately a 6-hour drive from Haridwar. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the Uttarakhand region during the drive.

4:00 PM: Reach Guptkashi

After a long drive, you will reach Guptkashi, a small town situated in the Rudraprayag district. Guptkashi is a popular stopover for pilgrims heading towards Kedarnath. Check into a hotel and relax for the evening.

6:00 AM: Start Trek to Kedarnath

Wake up early to begin your trek to Kedarnath. The trek from Guptkashi to Kedarnath is approximately 16 kilometers and takes around 6-8 hours to complete. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Himalayas and immerse yourself in the serene surroundings.

2:00 PM: Arrive in Kedarnath

Reach the holy town of Kedarnath and visit the famous Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Spend some time exploring the temple complex and taking in the spiritual atmosphere. You can also visit other nearby attractions like Bhairavnath Temple and Vasuki Tal.

4:00 PM: Return to Guptkashi

Start your descent back to Guptkashi before it gets dark. The return trek will take approximately 4-6 hours. Once you reach Guptkashi, rest and relax at your hotel.

6:00 AM: Depart from Guptkashi

Start your journey back to Haridwar from Guptkashi. Enjoy the scenic drive and take in the beauty of the mountains one last time.

12:00 PM: Arrive in Haridwar

Upon reaching Haridwar, take some time to explore the city and visit the famous Har Ki Pauri ghat, where the Ganges River is believed to cleanse all sins. You can also participate in the evening Ganga Aarti ceremony.

5:00 PM: Depart from Haridwar

Finally, take your preferred mode of transportation, either a train or a flight, from Haridwar back to Mumbai, concluding your spiritual journey from Mumbai to Kedarnath.
