Lake District Family Friendly 3-Day Itinerary for June 2023

1. Day 1: Beatrix Potter's Hilltop House
   30 minutes (5.2 miles) from Windermere

   Visit the home of beloved children's book author Beatrix Potter, who fell in love with the Lake District and made it her home. The house is full of her personal belongings, including her writing desk and watercolours.

2. Day 2: Treetop Trek
   40 minutes (23 miles) from Hilltop House

   For a family-friendly outdoor adventure, try Treetop Trek in Brockhole. This high ropes course has a variety of challenges to suit different ages and abilities, and the spectacular views of Lake Windermere are a bonus.

3. Day 3: The Lakes Distillery
   30 minutes (16.5 miles) from Treetop Trek

   For a taste of the Lake District, visit The Lakes Distillery in Bassenthwaite. Take a tour to learn how whisky, gin and vodka are made, and finish with a tasting session. The distillery also has a restaurant serving locally sourced food.
