One-Day Itinerary for 10 Days Everest Base Camp Trek

  1. 6:00 AM: Gorakshep
    2.5 kilometers (1.6 miles) from Everest Base Camp

    Wake up early to experience the sunrise over the Himalayas from Kala Patthar, the best viewpoint in the region. This is the highest point of the trek, at 5,550 meters (18,204 feet) and offers stunning panoramic views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, and Lhotse among others.

  2. 8:00 AM: Gorakshep
    1 kilometer (0.6 miles) from Kala Patthar

    After enjoying the sunrise, head back to Gorakshep for breakfast and start the hike to Everest Base Camp, the main destination of the trek. The hike takes around 2-3 hours and takes you across the Khumbu Glacier and the infamous Khumbu Icefall.

  3. 12:00 PM: Lobuche
    4 kilometers (2.5 miles) from Everest Base Camp

    After trekking to Everest Base Camp, head back down to Lobuche for lunch. Lobuche is a small village known for its picturesque views of the mountain ranges and is the perfect place to rest and replenish your energy before continuing the trek.

  4. 2:00 PM: Dughla
    3 kilometers (1.9 miles) from Lobuche

    After lunch, continue the trek to Dughla, which is located at the base of the Chola Pass. This is a relatively easy section of the trek and offers stunning views of the Khumbu Glacier and the surrounding peaks.

  5. 4:00 PM: Pheriche
    3 kilometers (1.9 miles) from Dughla

    Finally, end the day at Pheriche, a small village known for its spectacular views of Ama Dablam, one of the most iconic mountains in the region. Here, you can rest and relax while enjoying the stunning scenery before dinner.
