Dandeli Family-Friendly Itinerary for May 2023

  1. Day 1: Kali River Rafting
    5 minutes (2.3 km) from Dandeli town center

    Kali River is a perfect spot for white water rafting. The rapids are mostly grade 2 and 3, which makes it suitable for beginners. Experienced instructors are available to guide you through the rapids. The river flows through dense forests and hills, providing a picturesque backdrop to your adventure. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can get wet. Life jackets and helmets will be provided. Duration of rafting is about 2 hours.

  2. Day 1: Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary
    25 minutes (12.8 km) from Kali River Rafting

    The Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a variety of animals including tigers, leopards, elephants, and black panthers. The sanctuary also boasts of a large number of bird species. Take a jeep safari through the sanctuary or trek with a naturalist guide to spot wildlife and enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna. The sanctuary is closed on Tuesdays and entry fee is INR 50 per person. Safari costs INR 600 per jeep.

  3. Day 2: Syntheri Rocks
    1 hour (32 km) from Dandeli town center

    These majestic rocks are a sight to behold. The Syntheri Rocks are made of volcanic rock and are a great spot for trekking and photography. The rocks are surrounded by thick forests and a beautiful waterfall. The trek to the rocks is moderate to difficult and takes about 40 minutes. The rocks are open from 8 am to 5 pm every day and entry fee is INR 50 per person.

  4. Day 2: Kulgi Nature Camp
    30 minutes (16 km) from Syntheri Rocks

    The Kulgi Nature Camp is a great place for kids and adults alike. It offers activities like nature walks, bird watching, and camping. The camp is set in the midst of a dense forest and is a great place to unwind and connect with nature. The camp also has a small museum that showcases the local flora and fauna. Entry fee is INR 200 per person and camping costs INR 1000 per person per night.
