  1. Day 1: Kapaleeshwarar Temple

The beach is open 24 hours a day, but it's advised to visit during the early morning or late evening to avoid the midday heat. Swimming at Marina Beach is prohibited.

The fort is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm every day except Friday. Make sure to book your tickets in advance to avoid long queues.

  4. Day 4: Mahabalipuram
    1 hour 30 minutes (55 km) from Fort St. George

    Located 60 km south of Chennai, Mahabalipuram is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular day trip destination. The town is home to several ancient temples and rock-cut caves, including the Shore Temple, Pancha Rathas, and the Mahishasura Mardini Cave. These monuments date back to the 7th and 8th centuries CE and showcase the brilliance of Dravidian architecture. The town is open from 6:00am to 6:00pm every day. Make sure to carry plenty of water and wear comfortable shoes as the site involves a lot of walking.
