3-Day Everest Base Camp Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Lukla
    30 minutes (3.17 miles) from Tenzing-Hillary Airport

    Begin your journey to Everest Base Camp with a flight to Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla. After landing, you will start your trek to Phakding, a small village situated on the banks of the Dudh Koshi River. You will walk through beautiful pine forests, crossing suspension bridges and passing mani stones along the way. Take in the scenic views of the Kusum Kanguru Himal before arriving at your teahouse for the night.

  2. Day 2: Namche Bazaar
    5 hours (6.2 miles) from Phakding

    Today, you will trek to Namche Bazaar, a bustling market town and the gateway to the Everest region. As you ascend, you will catch glimpses of Everest and other peaks in the distance. Stop for lunch in the village of Jorsalle before making the final steep climb to Namche Bazaar. Spend the afternoon exploring the town and acclimatizing to the altitude.

  3. Day 3: Tengboche Monastery
    5 hours (4.7 miles) from Namche Bazaar

    Today's trek takes you to Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery in the Everest region. Along the way, you will pass through beautiful rhododendron forests and enjoy stunning views of Ama Dablam and other peaks. Take a tour of the monastery and attend a prayer ceremony with the monks. Spend the night at a teahouse in the village of Tengboche.
