4-Day Itinerary at Munnar - Family Friendly

  1. Day 1: Mattupetty Dam
    20 minutes (9.2 km) from Munnar town

    Visit the Mattupetty Dam, a concrete gravity dam built for water conservation and power generation. Enjoy the scenic view of the dam surrounded by mountains, hills and tea plantations. Take a boat ride and see the beautiful Kundala tea plantations and the wildlife in the vicinity. After the boat ride, take a walk around the dam and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

  2. Day 2: Tata Tea Museum
    18 minutes (6.7 km) from Mattupetty Dam

    Visit the Tata Tea Museum and learn about the history and evolution of tea plantations in Munnar. See the traditional tea processing methods and the modern machinery used in tea production. Taste different types of tea and purchase some to take back home. Spend some time in the tea garden and click some amazing pictures with your family.

  3. Day 3: Eravikulam National Park
    30 minutes (12.4 km) from Tata Tea Museum

    Visit the Eravikulam National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Enjoy the beautiful view of the rolling hills, tea plantations and valleys. Trek through the park and see different species of flora and fauna. If you are lucky, you may spot some other animals like elephants, leopards and gaurs.

  4. Day 4: Top Station
    1 hour 20 minutes (43.1 km) from Eravikulam National Park

    Visit the Top Station, the highest point in Munnar which provides a breathtaking view of the Western Ghats and the surrounding valleys. Take a walk through the tea plantations and enjoy the fresh air. Take some amazing pictures with your family and cherish the beautiful memories. If time permits, visit the nearby Echo Point and hear your voice echo back to you.
