Nepal Road Trip Itinerary - 5 days "Nature" in September 2023

1. Day 1: Kathmandu
   30 minutes (4.2 miles) from Tribhuvan International Airport

   Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is a blend of ancient and modern architecture. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Swayambhunath Stupa, known as the Monkey Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world.

2. Day 2: Pokhara
   5 hours (126 miles) from Kathmandu

   Pokhara, a picturesque city, is the gateway to the Annapurna Region. Enjoy the scenic drive and visit Fewa Lake, the second largest lake in Nepal, for boating. Hike up to the World Peace Pagoda and enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the Annapurna Range and Pokhara Valley.

3. Day 3: Chitwan National Park
   4 hours (93 miles) from Pokhara

   Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceros, and Asian elephants. Take a jungle safari on a jeep or elephant back and spot the wildlife. Enjoy the Tharu Cultural Dance in the evening.

4. Day 4: Lumbini
   3.5 hours (95 miles) from Chitwan National Park

   Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Sacred Garden, Mayadevi Temple, and Ashoka Pillar. Explore the monasteries built by different countries and learn about Buddhism.

5. Day 5: Nagarkot
   7 hours (174 miles) from Lumbini

   Nagarkot, a hill station, is known for its panoramic view of the Himalayan Range, including Mount Everest on a clear day. Enjoy the scenic drive and hike up to the Nagarkot Tower for a 360-degree view. Watch the beautiful sunrise and sunset.
