Start your trip by heading to the Cayo District, known for its lush jungle and ancient Mayan ruins. Get ready for an adventure as you go cave tubing through the ancient river caves of Caves Branch. Float down the river, passing through underground tunnels, and seeing rock formations and waterfalls. After finishing the tour, you can explore the botanical garden, do some birdwatching, or go ziplining to add some adrenaline to your day.
Return to Ambergris Caye and venture out to the Hol Chan Marine Reserve for some of the best snorkeling in the world. Travel down the coast to the charming town of Placencia, home to some of the best beaches in Belize. Take a dip in the clear blue water, relax under a palm tree, or try your hand at stand-up paddleboarding. In the evening, enjoy fresh seafood dishes at a beachfront restaurant and grab a drink at Tipsy Tuna.
Say goodbye to Belize and make your way back to Belize City for your departure flight. If you have any time left, consider visiting the Belize Zoo or the Museum of Belize before catching your flight home.
Transportation between destinations can include renting a car, taking a bus or shuttle, or hiring a private driver. For longer distances (such as Belize City to Tikal), it's best to arrange transportation in advance to avoid long waits or missed connections. Local airlines or water taxis can also be a convenient way to get around.
If you have more time, consider adding in a trip to the Actun Tunichil Muknal cave or a visit to the colorful town of Hopkins. If you have less time, consider skipping Placencia beach and spending an extra day in Ambergris Caye or Tikal.
