Fort Kochi is the historical jewel of Kochi and should be your first stop on this itinerary. It is filled with Dutch, Portuguese, and British colonial architecture, which makes for a pleasant walk. Check out St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, and the famous Chinese Fishing Nets. You can also visit the Pardesi Synagogue and Jewish quarter. In the evening, catch a traditional Kathakali dance performance at the Kerala Kathakali Centre.
The Hill Palace Museum is a great place to learn about the royal history of Kochi and the state of Kerala. The palace was built in 1865 and was the residence of the Kochi royal family until the 1970s. It now houses a museum that showcases the royal family's artefacts, paintings, and sculptures. You can also see the beautiful gardens and the deer park. In the afternoon, visit the Marine Drive, a popular promenade that offers a great view of the Arabian Sea.
