4-Day Itinerary for Wayanad in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Edakkal Caves

    Experience the magnificent view of Wayanad from the highest peak in the region. The trek to the peak takes about 3-4 hours. Visitors require a permit from the forest office to trek. Chembra peak is open from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm.

  3. Day 3: Banasura Sagar Dam

    Visit the largest earthen dam in India and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Banasura hills. The dam offers activities like boating, trekking, and speed boating. The dam is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

  4. Day 4: Kuruvadweep Island
    1 hour (28.6 km) from Banasura Sagar Dam

    Explore the lush green island surrounded by the Kabini river. The island is home to rare species of birds, orchids, and herbs. Visitors can enjoy a nature walk, bamboo rafting, and swimming. The island is open from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
