The Gateway of India is one of Mumbai's most iconic landmarks and a starting point for our day of exploration. We'll take a ferry to the Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for their intricate rock-cut cave temples. The caves are a 1-hour ferry ride from the Gateway of India and offer a glimpse into India's rich history and culture. After returning from the caves, we'll head back to the Gateway of India and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the promenade.
Our second day will begin with a visit to the Marine Drive, also known as the Queen's Necklace, for a scenic view of the Arabian Sea. We'll then head to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (CSMVS), a museum that showcases Indian art, history, and culture. The museum has a vast collection of over 50,000 exhibits, including ancient Indian artifacts, paintings, and sculptures. We'll end our day with a visit to Crawford Market, a popular shopping destination for locals and tourists alike.
