Driving is the best way to get around Lofoten Islands. Renting a car costs around 1500 NOK per day. The public transportation system is not very frequent, especially outside of peak season, and some of the best attractions require a car to get to.
If you have more time, consider adding a visit to the Lofoten War Memorial Museum, taking a boat trip to the Moskenesøy Island, or going on a whale watching tour. If you have less time, you can skip some of the attractions, but we recommend prioritizing the ones that interest you the most.
Lofoten Islands Airport (LKN) is located in Leknes, which is around 45 minutes from Reine by car. The airport is served by several airlines, including SAS, Widerøe, and Norwegian, and offers flights to major cities in Norway as well as international destinations such as Amsterdam and London.
