Lodz City Experience 2-Day Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Piotrkowska Street
    10 minutes (2.1 km) from Lodz Kaliska Train Station

    Piotrkowska is the main street in Lodz and the longest commercial street in Europe. This 150-year old street is home to numerous restaurants, shops, cafes and art galleries. Take a stroll along the street and admire the beautiful buildings and architecture. Visit the Manufaktura, a former textile factory turned into a shopping center with a cinema, art museum, and restaurants. You can also visit the nearby Ulica Piotrowska Museum to learn more about the history and development of the street.

  2. Day 1: Lodz Film School and Museum
    15 minutes (3.5 km) from Piotrkowska Street

    The Lodz Film School is one of the oldest film schools in the world and has produced many famous filmmakers. The museum showcases the history of Polish cinema and its influence on world cinema. You can also visit the school's sound studio and participate in a workshop or screening. The museum is closed on Sundays.

  3. Day 2: Jewish Cemetery
    20 minutes (5.9 km) from Lodz Film School and Museum

    The Jewish Cemetery in Lodz is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in Europe. It dates back to the early 19th century and is the final resting place of many prominent Jewish figures. The cemetery is a peaceful and reflective place, with gravestones and monuments that reflect the artistic and cultural heritage of the Jewish community. The cemetery is closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays.

  4. Day 2: Edward Herbst Palace

    The Edward Herbst Palace is a beautiful 19th-century mansion that used to be the residence of the Herbst family, one of the wealthiest families in Lodz. The palace has been restored and now houses the Museum of Art and Archeology. The palace is closed on Mondays.
